Half and Half
After seeing Chef Jayson’s post about the special Mushroom Feast menu they were having at his restaurant Man Ho, I asked whether we could have a customized version with only half the mushroom dishes on the menu and half something else. So a couple of weeks later, we came with some other friends for this “Half Mushroom Feast”.

Reminiscing Dinner
When we were sorting out the menu for our dinner with friend V at Man Ho, Chef Jayson came to rescue with a special tasting menu for us. We put total trust in him to the extent that I didn’t even look at the menu until were seated at the restaurant.

Dim Sum Lunch for 4
Late April marked the first time in 3 months that we could finally dine with 4 persons at the same table, and we decided to “celebrate” that with a weekend dim sum lunch at one of our favorite Chinese restaurants in town. We love the culinary transformation Chef Jayson and his team has done at Man Ho for the past few years, and they never failed to impress us even with a simple lunch get-together such as this.

Dinner with Some Help
We got Chef Jayson’s help to arrange for us the room that can fit 12 of us in his restaurant Man Ho – otherwise it would have been almost impossible with the ever-growing popularity of the place especially ever since their first Michelin star gained this year. He also helped us with the menu – with my only requests being their signature char siu and also one other dish that I wanted an encore. All up to him for the rest.

Five Guys Dinner
I came to eat at Man Ho a few times already this year, but this time our friend KC worked out with Chef Jayson for a customized dinner menu showcasing a few signature dishes plus some that’s off-menu. And we got the private room for the five of us for our “Peanut Group” meetup.

Yum Cha Omakase
It’s great to have run into Chef Jayson at his restaurant Man Ho at JW Marriott during our visit on the last day of January, especially on the heel of double good news for him personally and professionally this month. And that also meant we didn’t have to decide what to eat and just asked him to help sort out the menu for us.

Feel Like New
It does feel like a whole new restaurant when Man Ho at JW Marriott went through months of refurbishments and re-opened a couple of months ago. And a new Chinese name too, more for the practical reason of differentiating with another restaurant under the Marriott banner miles away.
The brief break also gave Chef Jayson an opportunity to re-work the menu at his restaurant, which I was able to try when we went for a casual family dinner a few weeks ago. The dinner went off an interesting start with the introduction of an amuse-bouche dish, which was a chunk of pickled papaya garnished with lime zest. More Thai style than Chinese, but it was refreshing.

Celebration at Man Ho
I keep hearing great things about the food at Man Ho of JW Marriott at Pacific Place so we decided to check it out one evening to celebrate papa's birthday. And I solicited help from Chef Jayson Tang to set up the menu for us as I was interested in trying some of the signature and seasonal dishes by his team.
