Happy Hour, Finally!

Friday evenings seem to be the perfect time to check out the new wine bar section of The Baker and Bottleman in Wanchai. We have visited their downstairs bakery section and tried some of the baked goods for takeaway during the COVID restriction times, and it felt good to be back and this time, into the buzzing bar area located upstairs with the room full of jolly people eating and drinking from Happy Hour on.

Evening with Natural Wines

Nothing stopped us from assembling at our friend J and C's Interval Coffee Bar near LKF for a special natural wine dinner they organized despite the slight disruption of traffic in the city. The place has recently introduced the new bistro-style all-day menu and they hosted a one night event with a few of their courses paired with a few bottles from Radikon winery in Italy, considered one of the pioneers in the natural wine movement. So we went on the evening before the actual event for a preview and test run of sort.

Pop-up Weekend Part 2 - Eat Ethio

I am glad we finally got a chance to eat at my friend Helina’s supper club, Eat Ethio, when V rounded up 10 of us for the table on one Saturday evening in early December. Normally run only once a month, during December she, along with her husband Scott, decided to switch things up on high gear and stayed open for 2 weeks straight, just in time for the Christmas season.
